About the maker:
‘Janjoon Jewelry’s self taught Designer & Maker Tamar Pelzig is originally from the old city in Jerusalem.
"Coming from a family of generations of artists working with their hands, I was experimenting with pottery making, sculpture and other artistic endeavors from a young age. In 2010, in a harsh New York winter, I coincidentally discovered my love and talent for knitting & Crochet. Shortly after I designed my first line of hand knitted cowls and cuffs. In 2012 I started incorporating the use of metals to my knitting work, and what started as a creative outlet and hobby for me, grew to be what 'Janjoon Jewelry' is today." ~Tamar
Her intent as an artist is to constantly find innovation and originality in her work, from unique methods to unique pairings of materials she uses.
Janjoon Jewelry is handmade in Los Angeles, California.
